Nationalité : Jamaïquain
Vrai nom : Desbert Jonhson
De son vrai nom Desbert Jonhson, Chezidek est né le 20 juin 1973 en Jamaïque. Il commence à chanter d'abord lors de concerts à l'école, et devient membre du St Ann’s Bay Marching Band.

Par la suite, il décide de partir s’installer à Kingston. Il enregistre son premier album en 2002 “Harvest Time” chez Xterminator le label de Fattis Burrel , et place son hit « Harvest time » au top des charts.En mars 2005, il sort « Rising Sun » chez le même label et distribué par VP Records, son deuxième album, qui comporte notamment les singles « Chanting » et « Hail Fari » qui tournent beaucoup en Jamaïque.
Et pour ceux qui souhaite plus découvrir Chezidek, West Indian vous conseille quelques riddims sur lesquels il a posé : le Time & Piece avec le titre Go at it (à écouter dans sa sélection du big tunes 43), le Giddimani avec Gone, le clockwise avec you're not free, le Jah is love avec Night turn day, ou the Heat ridim avec someone is behind it. Chezidek est enfin actuellement en tournée en France....
